Le jazz italien gagne aussi une jeune saxophoniste extrêmement talentueuse nommée Carla Marciano. Fortement inspirée de l’univers coltranien, Carla fait office d’exception culturelle en Italie, où les femmes instrumentistes ne sont pas nombreuses dans le jazz. A son inspiration et à sa technique de haut niveau, la saxwoman ajoute une force d’interprétation hors du commun qui contraste avec sa fragilité apparente et enthousiasma le public qui la redemanda tard dans la nuit, bien au-delà du programma initial (tiré de ses trois albums). Encore une belle surprise.

Italian jazz has also gained a new, extremely talented saxophonist named Carla Marciano. Strongly inspired by Coltrane, Carla serves as a cultural exception in Italy, where there are few female jazz instrumentalists. The sax-woman adds an out-of-the-ordinary strength of interpretation to her inspiration and advanced technique, in contrast with her apparent fragility. The captivated audience then asks for her to perform late into the night, well past the initial program (taken from her three albums). Another nice surprise.
