CARLA MARCIANO A PIEDI NUDI NEL PARCO

Nell’ambito dell’ottava edizione di “Mezzanotte nei Parchi”, al Parco del Poggio ai Colli Aminei, interessante performance della giovane sassofonista salernitana Carla Marciano.L’artista, accompagnata dal gruppo che la segue ormai da tempo, il solido ed esperto contrabbassista Aldo Vigorito, ed i due sicuri talenti, il pianista Alessandro La Corte ed il batterista Gaetano Ffasano, ha deliziato i palati del numeroso pubblico intervenuto con spunti jazz di indubbio valore espressivo e tecnico. La Marciano ha saputo muoversi con un’aggressività ed una smaliziata e sorprendente abitudine al palcoscenico che ci ha veramente colto alla sprovvista. Per la musicista impostata su un fisico sottile e scattante e, dalla prima impressione nel contatto con il pubblico, con uno spirito timido e riservato, non a caso abbiamo ricordato nel titolo la vecchia commedia di Neil Simon con Elisabeth Ashley accanto all’allora giovanissimo Robert Redford. Come la leggera ed esitante protagonista del film, una volta imbracciato il sassofono, cioè con il tocco della sua vera ragione di vita, Carla Marciano sa trasformarsi diventando un’intensa ed appassionata tigre, che riesce tranquillamente a cavalcare brani energici e difficili di veri e propri pilastri del genere, come “Russian lullaby” o “Out of this world”. La performer ed il suo gruppo, dimostrando poi una propria e personale vena creativa, ha trovato anche il tempo di allietare gli astanti con tre recenti composizioni, due delle quali estratte dal suo ultimo cd “A strange day”; lunghi fraseggi che certificano la piena maturità della sassofonista. Gli applausi finali a scena aperta ci testimoniano che il jazz è vivo e vegeto negli animi degli spettatori, basta che a risvegliarlo, e ad insegnarlo alle nuove leve, siano maestri per i quali la musica è vera passione di vita e non sfuocata emozione da travet.

“LARRY NOCELLA TENOR FEST”: CARLA MARCIANO BAREFOOT IN THE PARK

During the eighth edition of “Mezzanotte nei Parchi”, in the Parco del Poggio on the Colli Aminei, the interesting performance of Carla Marciano, young saxophonist from Salerno, took place. The artist, accompanied by her band that has been working with her for a long time (the solid and skilled double bass player Aldo Vigorito, and the two certainly talented musicians, the pianist Alessandro La Corte and the drummer Gaetano Fasano, delighted the great audience gathered there, offering jazz hints of doubtless expressive and technical value. Carla Marciano knew how to perform with aggressiveness, both crafty and surprisingly being used to performing on the stage, taking us indeed by surprise. As the musician is slim, agile, with a shy, reserved attitude she has revealed since her first contact with the audience, not by chance the title reminded us of the old comedy by Neil Simon, with Elisabeth Ashley and a very young Robert Redford. Like the light and wavering film main character, once she holds her saxophone, that is the true reason of her life, Carla Marciano can turn into an intense passionate tiger, being absolutely able to deal with energic difficult pieces that are real pillars in the history of jazz, such as “Russian lullaby” or “Out of this world”. The performer and her band showed their own creative inspiration and also found the time to amuse the audience with three recent compositions, two of which are in their latest cd “A strange day”; long fraseggio certifying the saxophonist’s full maturity The final neverending applauses witness that jazz is alive and kicking in the spectators’ souls: what we need is that those maestro who consider music as a life passion and not a faded travet emotion awaken it and teach it to the new generations.
